Not a Math Person

Support

What people ask most, and how to reach a person.

Is it really free?

Yes. Addition and Subtraction are free for as long as you like, and so is the first skill in each of the other 10 areas, with the daily workout, the daily challenge and 6 of the games. One payment opens the rest of those 10 areas and the other 10 games, and keeps them open. It is not a subscription, and there are no ads.

I paid, and it is locked

Open Settings in the app and, under The full app, tap Restore purchase. It finds the purchase as long as the iPhone is signed in with the Apple Account that bought it. The same button brings it back on a new iPhone, at no charge.

Can I have my money back?

Apple takes the payment, so Apple gives refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account that paid.

Is there a clock?

Not in practice. How long you take is never shown and never counts: getting a sum right is all that moves you on. The app does keep the times, out of sight, in case you ever want the second stage, which a mastered skill offers under For speed. You never have to take it up.

How do I move my progress to a new iPhone?

It travels in the iPhone’s own backup, so a new phone set up from the old one has it already. To move it by hand, tap Back up or move it at the foot of the home screen. That gives you a code to copy, and the same page on the other phone takes it.

How do I start again from nothing?

Open Settings and, under Your progress, tap Reset progress twice. Deleting the app does the same.

The daily reminder does not arrive

In the iPhone’s own Settings, open Notifications, find Math Person, and allow them. Then go back to the app’s Settings and choose a time under Daily reminder again. It only rings on days you have not practiced yet.

Why is it called Math Person on my home screen?

The full name is too long to fit under an icon, so the iPhone would cut it short. It is the same app.

Does it need the internet?

No. Everything is in the app, and it works anywhere. The one thing that needs a connection is buying the full app, or restoring it.

Does it work on an iPad?

It runs, at the size of an iPhone. It was made to be held in one hand.
